“To ask the Chief Executive if the new site zoned for St. Josephs Secondary

School has been proofed number wise, for both the existing Primary

School numbers in the National Schools in Rush and surrounding areas,

as well as potential students arising from new and potential housing

developments in Rush”

Reply:

The designation of a post primary site at Kenure has been provided in the

context of the preparation of the Kenure Rush LAP. This site is formally

designated for Community Infrastructure and post primary school

accommodation in the FDP 2017-2023. The designation of the site at

Kenure was based on school pupil projections published in an Area

Development Plan for North Dublin by The Commission on School

Accomodation (DoES). The Kenure site is adequately sized to

accommodate projected school pupil growth both within Rush and

hinterland.
